If you have out-of-town plans for this weekend, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Makati LGU have announced the suspension of number-coding on February 9, which was declared a special nonworking holiday in celebration of Chinese New Year.

Meanwhile, for those hoping to visit Binondo for the festivities, the MMDA’s Pasig River Ferry will operate normally. Be warned, though, as a million visitors are expected to flock to Manila’s Chinatown over the weekend.
