Now is truly a great time to shop for a new car, as automakers have been offering really tempting deals left and right just to spur activity in their respective dealer networks. Nissan Philippines, last year’s third-best car brand in our market in terms of vehicle units sold, is among those trying to lure buyers with cash discounts. For the month of July, the Japanese automaker is slashing its cars’ price tags in hopes of accelerating its return to normal.
The promo list was passed on to us by a Nissan dealer. Everything from the Almera to the X-Trail is now significantly cheaper if you make a cash purchase. The biggest discount (P240,000) is being offered for the Patrol Royale, which is understandable as Nissan is just running out its existing inventory before introducing the new model.
The Urvan and the Terra should get a lot of attention here, with discounts up to P104,000 and P120,000, respectively. But you know which model and variant we find interesting? It’s the Almera 1.2 MT, which can now be yours for just P599,000. Perfect for those who desperately require a personal mode of transportation in this time of virulent contagion.
