Time to rev up those virtual engines and dust off those sim rigs as the 2024 season of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup will begin later this month. All you’ll need to enter is a copy of Gran Turismo 7 for the PlayStation 4 and 5, and a valid PS Plus subscription.

This season is set to have seven qualifying rounds, four of which will be a one-car competition using the 86/BRZ twins, the Prius G, the GR010 Hybrid, and the GR Yaris, respectively.

Meanwhile, the three other rounds will include Toyota’s fellow national rivals (Honda, Mazda, Nissan and Subaru) in three disciplines: Gr. 3, Gr. 4, and Super Formula.

Participants of the online qualifiers will be gifted in-game credits depending on their rankings—up to 9,000,000 in contention. Regardless of position, everyone will receive a Toyota GR010 Hybrid in a special black livery currently used in this year’s World Endurance Championship.

The results will dictate who will join one of the 24 drivers from five continents (and three allotted drivers picked by Toyota) to reach the grand final round later in December, coinciding with the Gran Turismo World Series.
