Take a peek at Toyota Gazoo Racing’s new livery for 2024

The team’s new look is just as mean as its winning streak

This 2023 has shown that two teams were dominant across the various disciplines in motorsports. Aside from Red Bull Racing’s unstoppable pace in Formula 1, Toyota Gazoo Racing took the crown in both the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

It’s easy to see how Toyota Gazoo Racing has become a dominant force in motorsports. To cement that, the team is unveiling a mean-looking matte-black livery for its GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid and GR010 Hybrid, marking a departure from the iconic white-red-black livery that its vehicles have donned for the past few years.

If you follow F1, the Mercedes-AMG F1 team chose to go with a black livery for two specific reasons. From 2020 to 2021, it was a way for the team to speak out against racism, and as for 2023, it was about weight savings.

But for Toyota Gazoo Racing, its reasoning is simple. There are three concepts behind the new livery, which are “Speed” to represent the team’s spirit, the statement of “Hate to lose,” and “Prototype” that shows the team’s desire to make better cars and evolve.

The best part about this is that you’ll be seeing this evil-looking livery make its way to other competitions that TGR participates in, so it’s safe to say that we could be seeing next year’s Vios Cup cars going dark.
