Electrification is the ongoing trend in the Philippine motoring industry with more and more manufacturers releasing electrified vehicles. Nissan Philippines has the Kicks e-Power and the Leaf EV. However, its sales report from the fiscal year 2023 tells a different story.
The company grew by 31.8% in sales, which saw its market share increase to 6.5%. The main driving force is the Navara, which sold over 11,000 units. Following the pickup is the Terra at 6,000 units. No numbers were shared for the Kicks, yet NPI made it a point to mention that the Patrol is doing well, having sold over 1,000 units.
So, what do we get from this? Despite the diverse lineup of vehicles—including a coding-exempt hybrid crossover—pickups and SUVs are still the stars for Nissan.
