Even before the pandemic descended upon the world, Kia Philippines had begun teasing its customers with the possible arrival of a small crossover model named the Stonic. Significantly more compact in size compared with the Seltos, this vehicle is perfect for the pricing requirements of the times.
Equipped with a 1.4-liter D-CVVT gasoline engine paired with either a five-speed manual transmission (94hp) or a six-speed automatic gearbox (99hp), the Stonic for our market is available in three variants:
- 1.4 LX 5MT – P735,000
- 1.4 LX 6AT – P835,000
- 1.4 EX 6AT – P925,000
If you find these introductory prices to be tempting, know that Kia is selling these variants for the following figures until October 15 of this year:
- 1.4 LX 5MT – P675,000
- 1.4 LX 6AT – P785,000
- 1.4 EX 6AT – P875,000

According to a press statement sent by Kia Philippines, some of the features for our Stonic variants are projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen unit, six speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse parking sensors, hill-start assist, and electronic stability control. Also to be offered to buyers are a five-year (or 160,000km) warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance for five years.
If you’re looking for a neatly packaged crossover that comes with Kia’s brand hallmarks, be sure to check out the new Stonic.
