This site is getting away with copying our articles

And those of our local and overseas colleagues

Whether it’s a simple essay for a school homework or an article for our website, plagiarism is (and will always be) a big no-no. That’s why we’re quite bemused at the fact that a blog called TopCarNews is simply lifting published content off the net and posting it like it’s his or her own work.

Now, we totally get the saying that “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” But the case of TopCarNews is different. Every single article posted on it is copied word for word, right down to the photo captions. And mind you, this isn’t just coming from our website. Whoever runs this blog is also grabbing stuff from our local and overseas colleagues (check out this one copied from CarGuide).

That's because it is our review. SCREENSHOT FROM VISOR

According to our legal counsel Atty. JC Go, there is basis to demand that those articles be taken down since no consent was obtained from us.

The bottom line is that you can get Chickenjoy only at Jollibee. Any other restaurant naming it as such and claiming that it tastes the same is just verbal diarrhea. So, if you want to get your daily fix of mobility stories without the glare, you already know where to find it.
