The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has just announced the suspension of number-coding on Monday, August 21, which is a special nonworking holiday.

For those who may have forgotten our history, former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. was assassinated on August 21, 1983, during the administration of Ferdinand Marcos Sr., the father of our current president.

As of now, the Makati LGU has yet to announce if coding will be suspended there. So, in case you have any out-of-town trips during that long weekend, plan accordingly.
