The Toyota Corolla is a car that most of us have experienced at least once in our lives. It could’ve been a taxi, your parents’ ride, or your very first vehicle. The venerable model has sold 50 million units globally, making it the world’s best-selling car of all time.

To celebrate this, Toyota has released a manga series. The artwork was styled to reflect the various time periods when each Corolla model existed. The stories were all based on customer stories taken from social media.

The E10 Corolla’s story involves Japan’s economic boom in the 1960s. The E20 includes some father-and-son bonding moments. The episode with the AE86 isn’t too far off from that famous tofu-delivery guy. Filipino readers will probably recognize the car in the fourth chapter, which is an E100. Finally, the strip with the E210 model showcases the latest Corolla’s fun-to-drive nature.

You can access the manga here. However, it is only in Japanese. But if that isn’t your cup of tea, you can celebrate the Corolla’s milestone by buying the vehicle in its special “50 million edition” version. While it comes in three body styles, you’ll have to go to Japan to get one.

With 50 million Corollas sold around the world, we’re pretty sure that each one of us has a story to tell. What’s your Corolla story?
