If you have’t played Gran Turismo 7 (or GT7) in a while, you’ll want to update your copy of the “real driving simulator.” Update 1.65 (or Spec III) is the game’s second major update, and it brings eight new cars, two tracks, and many other features.

The biggest highlight for many will be the addition of Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. These aren’t just any ordinary tracks as they’re featured prominently in the Formula 1 calendar.

The eight new cars include the following models:
- 2023 Ferrari 296 GT3
- 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB
- 1985 Fiat Panda 30 CL
- Gran Turismo F3500-B
- Mine’s BNR34 GT-R N1 base
- 1997 Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R
- 2026 Polestar 5 Performance
- 1995 Renault Espace F1

Another new feature is the Data Logger. This lets you view the telemetry data such as racing line and throttle/brake inputs, so that you can improve your lap time on the track.

There are more races in the World Circuits career mode featuring the new tracks. Limited time events such as Mission Challenge, Time Trial, and Special Race will be part of the Weekly Challenges.

GT7 isn’t just about driving as it also encourages car collecting. The Collector Level cap has been increased from 50 to 70, allowing players to purchase exclusive cars at the dealerships in Brand Central.
The Café feature has also been expanded with four Extra Menus for advanced car collectors, and a Seasonal Menu that changes regularly.

GT7 Spec III is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Given the myriad of new content, you’ll want to allot some time for the update to download.
