The soft launch will be held from August 8 to 11

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority met with officials from the Metro Manila Council for the handover of 30 handheld ticketing devices. The first LGUs to implement the single ticketing system are:

  • San Juan
  • Valenzuela
  • Parañaque
  • Caloocan
  • Muntinlupa
  • Quezon City

Quezon City, by the way, will use a different device for its enforcement operations.

In conjunction with this, the meeting was also held to approve the guidelines and the rules on the use of body-worn cameras for enforcers. The footage will be sent to the MMDA Command Center and can be used as evidence in case there are any complaints or illegal transactions.

The soft launching of the single ticketing system will be held by those LGUs on August 8-11. Hopefully, this will reduce corruption and make things more efficient.
