Have you tried riding one?

If you commute around Metro Manila, there are many ways to go from point A to point B. Whether taking jeepneys, buses, trains, motorcycle taxis, TNVS, or other regular cabs, there’s no doubt that Green GSM is one of the cheapest four-wheeled ride-hailing services we’ve tried so far.

Just a few weeks ago during our commute, we spotted a new black taxi roaming around our office. As it turned out, it was Green GSM’s new Premium Taxi using VinFast’s electric MPV, the Limo Green.

It is the company’s newest service that carries up to six passengersperfect if you need extra room for cargo, are traveling with a bigger group, or simply prefer a more comfortable ride without the premium price tag charged by other ride-hailing apps.

For those unfamiliar with the vehicle, the VinFast Limo Green is a fully electric, three-row MPV built specifically for fleet operations and taxi services (as we saw in Vietnam).

Inside, all three rows get dedicated air vents and cabin air filtration to keep the ride fresh and cool. We’re just not sure how well the fabric seats will hold up against wear and tear or stains, especially with daily heavy commuter use.

According to Green GSM, the Premium Taxi drivers are handpicked, highly rated drivers selected to ensure that customers get a smoother, more relaxed experience to uphold a “five-star” service standard.

Fares remain transparent as well, and you can track them directly on the meter via the car’s central infotainment screen.

As of this writing, you’ll be seeing these black EV taxis operating in major business districts and commercial hubs, particularly Makati, Taguig, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Manila, Quezon City, Pasay, San Juan, and Pateros.
