Ride-hailing apps are a staple for much of the workforce in Metro Manila. It is a bit pricey, but the convenience that comes with it makes it worth the money. A few months ago, fuel rates started skyrocketing, affecting the cost of daily necessities, including transportation. Consumers and drivers alike were affected. Some even complained about bringing home a lot less due to gas prices and the “boundary” car-leasing costs.
Seizing this opportunity, VinFast—alongside Green GSM and V-Green—has introduced RENTAPASADA. This drive-to-earn initiative aims to provide low-cost car rental to ride-hailing drivers residing in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao.

Applicants can choose between two full electric vehicles: either the five-seater Herio Green for a rental fee of P1,050 and a total deduction of P1,300, or the seven-seater Limo Green for a lease rate of P1,350 and an overall charge of P1,650. The initial contract is valid for five years, with an option to extend for an additional three years.
To ensure a thorough assessment before a candidate is approved, applicants must bring their professional driver’s license, NBI or police clearance, medical certificate, drug test result, and tax identification number.
Green GSM continues to lessen the worries of the aspirants: The company will cover some of the necessities, such as the LTO application, inspection fees, road maintenance fees, personal accident insurance for motorists, vehicle insurance and CTPL, periodic maintenance, and GPS installation. The firm will also assist with the TNVS registration and application. The prospects only have to sort the toll, the parking, the charging fees, and the vehicle repair costs.

Once accepted, the qualified drivers must complete training to ensure their skills before going on the road. They are then required to maintain an active account and remain in good standing on the Green GSM App. The availers must complete a minimum of 250 trips per month, while maintaining acceptance and completion rates of 90% or higher.
The program also lessens the financial strain on drivers by offering free charging at V-Green stations. This perk is available until March 31, 2029. Drivers can bring home as much as 90% of the profit in the first year, and 85% on the second year (which is subject to taxes and government fees).

VinFast shows no signs of slowing down in the Philippines. It provides fruitful opportunities that Filipinos shouldn’t miss out on. Its rapid growth through the adoption of its ecosystem in Vietnam might be daunting, but it is slowly coming together bit by bit.
