The Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup is back on a new track. For Race Weekend 3, the event will be held today (August 15) at Batangas Racing Circuit.

Fans can expect thrilling wheel-to-wheel action, as drivers in the Super Sporting, Sporting, and Legacy classes compete using the Vios OMR and the Tamaraw OMR. These vehicles will continue to use biofuel—as in the previous race weekend—to support energy security.

“We have received positive feedback from the racers about how biodiesel and bioethanol blend fuels perform in extreme conditions, so we are further studying the feasibility of continuing the use of these low-carbon fuels for our succeeding motorsports events,” said Toyota Motor Philippines first vice president for corporate affairs Josephine Villanueva. “While we continue to face energy security issues in the country, we hope this initiative will result in improved knowledge on the positive benefits of higher biofuel blends for wider use of motorists.”

Admission to the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup is free. But if you can’t make it to the track, you can watch the broadcast on the Facebook page of Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines.
