Electric vehicles are on the rise. According to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), overall new-car sales declined by 8.5% year-on-year in February, but battery electric vehicles rose sharply at 79.9%. There is momentum, but how can it be maintained?

VinFast Philippines recently held the “From Fuel to Future: The Philippines’ EV Turning Point” symposium to share its holistic ecosystem that empowers Filipinos to shift toward EVs.

The first step is lowering the cost of entry. The EV brand has various programs to make its products more attainable. Under “Trade Gas for Electric,” VinFast offered a 3% discount for customers who traded their gasoline vehicle for an EV. The Battery Subscription Program redefines EV ownership, where users pay a subscription fee for their car’s battery. This is not only more affordable, but it also gives peace of mind.

Once you hit the road with your new VinFast EV, you’ll need to charge it eventually. VinFast Philippines has its network of V-Green stations, where users can avail of free charging until 2029. Finally, you won’t have to worry about your car’s resale value plummeting, thanks to the Residual Value Guarantee program.

“The Philippines is at a real turning point in mobility, but progress will depend on how well adoption is supported,” said VinFast Southeast Asia CEO Antonio Zara. “Without a strong ecosystem, it risks becoming fragmented. That is why VinFast is focused on offering a complete ecosystem—not just vehicles—to support customers at every step of their journey.”
