VinFast Philippines has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Maybank Philippines to make its EVs even more accessible to Filipinos.
Under the MOU, the bank-partner will support the EV company’s Battery Subscription Program through tailored loan packages with competitive interest rates and flexible payment options.
For those unaware, VinFast customers can opt for a monthly battery subscription fee when purchasing an EV. Not only does this reduce the initial cost by as much as 20%, it also eliminates concerns regarding battery health performance. VinFast will take care of the maintenance and will even replace the battery for free when the capacity falls below 70%.
“Maybank’s participation as the first bank to support our Battery Subscription Program is an important milestone for VinFast in the Philippines,” said VinFast Southeast Asia CEO Antonio Zara. “This collaboration helps make electric vehicle ownership more accessible and practical for Filipino consumers, and we look forward to working with more financial institutions in the future to further expand access to our flexible ownership solutions.”
