If your vehicle registration is still expired, you’d better get it renewed ASAP

LTO clamps down with its ‘no registration, no travel’ policy

Last month, the Land Transportation Office loosened its “no registration, no travel” policy for the holiday season. With that over, the agency is now punishing motorists with delinquent vehicles.

Instead of a simple warning, violators will now be hit with penalties such as a P10,000 fine. According to the LTO, motor vehicle registration is crucial for road safety. It is the agency’s way of reducing crashes by ensuring that only roadworthy vehicles ply the streets.

So, if you haven’t renewed your vehicle’s registration yet, please do so as soon as possible. Just like BDO’s tagline, the LTO is finding ways to make the process more convenient and efficient for everyone. Or so the agency claims.
