Over the weekend, we posted photos of a new firetruck owned by Pasig City. The emergency vehicle was being put to good use by filling plastic road dividers with water.
We specifically commended our LGU for not plastering the firetruck with the names or pictures of our government leaders. Which told us that our city’s politicians were not epal—at least the current ones, that is.
One of those who commented shared this good news out of Valenzuela City. Very recently, the city acquired 40 motorcycles and 25 vehicles for its police force, amounting to P49 million.

Kudos to mayor Wes Gatchalian the taxpayers for this. We hope these vehicles will be taken care of and properly maintained.

We just noticed that the mayor’s first name is always spelled with capital letters. No idea why they do this, but it is what it is. At least his name is not all over the vehicles—that would be an eyesore.
This coming election, stay away from politicians who have a tendency of advertising their names everywhere. Time to keep our property clean and nonpartisan.
