The other day, Filipino fans of Korean drama series—particularly the extremely popular Crash Landing on You—went crazy when telecommunications company Smart Communications shared a nine-second teaser video of its new advertising campaign featuring…Hyun Bin (aka Captain Ri).

In that teaser, the actor could be seen walking toward an automobile, and petrolheads immediately identified it as the BMW i8 hybrid sports car.

Turns out they’re correct, as validated by a longer video revealed by Smart today. Actually, the positioning of the push-start button is already a dead giveaway.

Because the ad is promoting Smart as “the Philippines’ fastest mobile data network,” the presence of an aggressive-looking coupe makes a lot of sense. But we have to admit that we were kind of expecting to see Son Ye-jin (aka Yoon Se-ri) suddenly making an appearance in a Ferrari. Then again, who knows? After all, the caption for the post says: “More surprises on June 1.”

Anyway, we personally know many female friends whose hearts are probably fluttering right now. And if Smart could somehow find a way to bring in Hyun Bin at some point in the near future, ay…good luck with the traffic.
