President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed a new Land Transportation Office chief in Vigor Mendoza II.

Aside from being an attorney, he is the chairperson of the 1-United Transport Koalisyon (1-UTAK) party list.

His past accolades include him being a former board member of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and also of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation. He also headed the Philippine delegation to the ASEAN Transport Summit in Malaysia, and was a resource speaker on the topic of Philippine property market.

He also serves as a faculty member at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law from which he graduated, and also previously taught at De La Salle University.

With all of this experience under his belt, we hope that he will be able to rein in the problems that the LTO has at the moment.
