Sojitz G Auto Philippines has just announced that Naoyuki Takeda will serve as its new president and CEO starting January 1 next year. He will be replacing the outgoing Yugo Kiyofuji, who will be returning to the headquarters of Sojitz in Tokyo.

Takeda has been with SGAP for a while, previously serving at Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation Auto Financial Services and JACCS Finance Philippines for over six years. His appointment is supported by Geely Automobile International Corporation (GAIC) as seen with the visit of regional sales director Will Wan.

“I am honored to lead SGAP into this new era of growth and innovation,” said Takeda. “With the support of GAIC and our dedicated team, we look forward to introducing cutting-edge mobility solutions that will bring exceptional automotive experiences to Filipinos while we continue improving our customer service.”

Given the controversy involving Geely Philippines earlier this year, Takeda sure has his work cut out for him once he steps in next year.
