Not gonna lie. The Jetour Ice Cream—that cute, affordable electric car from China—has always intrigued me ever since I saw it in photos. I mean, who can resist its charm especially with its pastel colors?
Here is proof:
Now, I haven’t actually driven this car (although the brand’s marketing boss has promised me a test drive). All I know for now is that Jetour claims a 170km range on a single charge. I suppose that’s good enough if your transport needs don’t require many miles. Oh, I also know that it costs P699,000—definitely cheap if you’re used to mainstream small vehicles.
This weekend (October 19-21), I will get a chance to inspect it up close at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit. The SMX Convention Center Manila in the Mall of Asia Complex will house the latest and best EVs on our market during the three-day event. Something to visit if you’re seriously thinking about shifting to full-electric cars.
Too bad the car is not available in VISOR red. But I can settle for the matcha paint job.
See you at the EV party. Probably the most electrifying happening this weekend.
