Back when Omoda and Jaecoo first made its existence known early in 2023, a big question Filipinos had in mind was when it was going to enter the country. The year ended and the Chinese automaker had yet to make its debut. Well, Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines has announced that its launch will be held at this year’s Manila International Auto Show.
If this is your first time hearing about this, Omoda and Jaecoo are sub-brands of Chery that launched globally last April. The former is upscale, aimed at a younger and more fashionable demographic. Meanwhile, the latter specializes in high-end urban SUVs.
The Philippine subsidiary has quite an ambitious goal, aiming to be the top Chinese car brand in the country by 2025, according to its country director Marco Chen.
But for any dream to become a reality, the first step must be taken. And for O&J Philippines, that will be when it faces the Filpino public on April 4 to 7 at the SMX Convention Center.
