Kamm Manufaktur is a Hungarian company established in 2022. It focuses on restomodding the Porsche 912. Why the 912? Primarily because it’s lighter than the 911, and Kamm’s philosophy is all about lightweight.
That year, it created the 912c Coupe, the ‘c’ standing for carbon fiber. With the material used extensively, the car weighs just less than 800kg—699kg for the Full Carbon variant and 750kg for the Semi-Carbon.
Now, the company comes up with the 912c Targa, which is based on the soft-window Targa introduced in 1967. To celebrate the launch, a one-off has been made and is available for sale.

This launch model is finished in period Tangerine with tobacco leather and Porsche pasha inserts. It has steel-look alloys, Cibie spot lights, Kamm carbon roof rack, and a special Kamm surfboard. Price tag? A cool €395,000 (P24,100,000) with delivery anywhere to the world.
The 912c Targa is based on the 912c Semi-Carbon. Its carbon-fiber body panels are made in-house, as well as the iconic Targa hoop complete with the famous badge. The windows, meanwhile, are made from lightweight, scratch-proof Lexan polycarbonate.
Complementing the lightweight structure is an aerodynamic underfloor and front splitter. Clients can also opt for an FIA-spec full bolt-in roll cage.
Wheel options of steel-look alloys, 917-style carbon 360 replica, or three-piece 917-style wheels complete the period look.

Inside, you get a choice of racing or touring carbon-fiber seats, lightweight carpeting, electric air-conditioning, as well as an audio system with Morel speakers.
Sitting at the rear is a 2.0-liter (bumped up from 1.6L) air-cooled four-cylinder engine. Output is 185hp at 6,500rpm, and 205Nm at 5,200rpm (with a redline of 7,200rpm). Note that 170Nm is available as low as 2,000rpm, highlighting the car’s daily character.
The 2.0-liter motor is paired with an original 901 five-speed dogleg gearbox with short, long, or touring gearing options. The short-shifter is developed by Kamm and is attached to a Porsche hydraulic racing clutch.

To keep the momentum under control, the 912c Targa has TracTive bespoke semi-active front and rear coilover suspension, and Brembo brakes with vented discs.
With way below a thousand kilograms and an open top, the 912c Targa should be a unique restomod Porsche.
