For 2026, the Staria has turned hybrid for its passenger line, with all models carrying a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 1.49kWh lithium-ion battery motor, producing a combined 242hp and 265Nm of torque.
Unlike its competitors, it’s mated to a conventional six-speed automatic transmission, which still achieves an impressive 17.7km/L. All this while carrying a choice of seven, nine, or 11 passengers.

The Premium and Premium Plus variants exclusively have the new 12.3-inch infotainment display—found in other contemporary models—and the full Hyundai SmartSense safety suite with lane-following and lane-keeping assist, smart cruise control, forward-collision avoidance, and a 360° camera.
Hyundai also debuted its companion app, Bluelink. Also exclusive to the top-two trim levels, owners can start and lock remotely, locate, and monitor easily, among other conveniences.

The new Staria Hybrid starts at just below P2 million, making it the most affordable hybrid-powered nine-seater MPV in the country right now.
- GL nine-seater – P1,999,000
- GL eleven-seater – P2,079,000
- GLS nine-seater – P2,389,000
- Premium nine-seater – P2,999,000
- Premium Plus seven-seater – P3,199,000
With that prospect in mind, would you go for this as your next electrified family hauler?
