Back in July, Hyundai unveiled the refreshed Stargazer and Stargazer X at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. Dubbed the “Cartenz” update in its home market, the MPV twins have been slowly expanding their reach across Southeast Asia, with the Philippines next in line.

The new Stargazer duo shares the same new front-end design that ditches the sleek, futuristic look and somewhat mimics the Palisade. Adding to its cues, the hood line is significantly raised from before, and the main headlight housing is placed at a higher row with the LED daytime running lights in an H-pattern.

Despite significant aesthetic changes, the 1.5-liter four-cylinder Smartstream engine remains at 113hp and 144Nm, paired with Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission.

The dashboard has undergone a small makeover, presenting a seamless and cohesive layout that integrates the digital instrument cluster with an infotainment system, depending on the model. The Stargazer contains an eight-inch display, while the Stargazer X has a 10.25-inch one, both with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Continuing with trim-specific features, the Stargazer X Premium opts for an automatic climate control with capacitive touch and physical buttons, as opposed to the rest with manual knobs. The top-of-the-line spec is also equipped with Hyundai SmartSense, which comes with lane forward and keeping assist, and forward collision avoidance assist.

With the regular Stargazer no longer sold in Premium trim, the GLS fills that void, while the Stargazer X carries the top moniker.

Aside from Hyundai Motor Philippines’ five-year warranty, new-model owners will receive one free year of preventive maintenance service, as well as free pickup and delivery for any service.
