So travelers can get to their loved ones in the provinces faster

The portion of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway in Rosario, La Union, is now open temporarily for a dry run. According to a TPLEX employee, the duration of the run will be until the end of the month. This should help ease traffic going from Manila to Baguio, La Union and Ilocos (and vice versa) for the busy Christmas season.

Coming from Manila, you will need to exit through TPLEX Pozorrubio (Pangasinan) and reenter TPLEX via a temporary entry/exit access point in Sison, which leads to Rosario—specifically, the junction of Pugo-Rosario (completely bypassing the Kennon Road entry point). The section between Sison and Pozorrubio is still under construction.

The stretch is totally toll-free for now. PHOTOS BY MANSKEE NASCIMENTO

This 5.5km stretch of road is toll-free throughout the dry run. A speed limit of 60km/h is now being implemented within said section. For more information, you may contact TPLEX at (0917) 888-0715.
