Ever since being taken over by a new distributor in December last year, Chevrolet has been rather quiet. We know administrative changes like this are not easy, but staying silent for almost eight months is a little unusual. That’s why we’re only pleased to be reporting about this latest update from the American firm.

Chevrolet has just opened a dealership in Camarines Sur. This is part of the “Rework” initiative by distributor Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. to help rejuvenate the brand and increase its presence in the country’s highly competitive car market. This outlet is managed by Frontier Automotive Marilao Corporation.

Aside from giving more choices to prospective buyers in the region, the Camarines Sur branch should also be indicative of Chevrolet’s commitment to supporting its existing clientele. We can only hope that this is a positive sign of things to come for the automaker’s Philippine operations.
