AlphaTauri has confirmed that Yuki Tsunoda will continue driving for it next year. The Japanese driver made his Formula 1 debut in 2021 replacing Daniil Kyvat on the sister team of Red Bull.

After scoring points in the season opener last year in Bahrain, the rest of his rookie season was rocky, marred with spins, crashes, and foul language. However, he managed a career-best finish of P4 in Abu Dhabi.

Although many had doubts over his future (himself included), it seems that team principal Franz Tost still believes in him. However, he won’t be able to rest easy as there’s always fresh talent that could potentially replace him.
