The SsangYong Rexton is one good SUV that has not caught the attention of a lot of people. I mean, it ticks most of the boxes that prospective buyers are looking for: Seating for seven, car-like driving experience, a powerful and efficient diesel engine, tons of convenience features and safety tech. There is just not a lot of them on the road. To change that, SsangYong has given its flagship SUV a little facelift.
Exterior changes are subtle with a new honeycomb radiator grille design, and gray headlamp bezels. The Rexton also gets additional colors. Marble Gray joins the list of elegant paint jobs which include Atlantic Blue, Fine Silver, Grand White, and Space Black.
Inside, 4×4 variants get unique brown stitching on the doors, dashboard panels, and the seats. The 4×2 models also come with heated and cooled seats which is quite unique in this class of vehicle. On top of the already long feature list are the updated Rexton’s bright LED interior lights that illuminate the cabin well, and a fancier key fob which can remotely switch on the headlights and operate the tailgate.
The Rexton offers a ton of safety features like six airbags (for the 4×4 variant), antilock brakes, stability control, hill-descent control, all-around parking sensors, and a reverse camera.
For what it offers, it is surprising to know that the Rexton sells for just P1,760,000 for the 4×2 variant, and P2,260,000 for the 4×4 model. To sweeten the deal even more, SsangYong is throwing in a longer five-year free preventive maintenance service package. This includes the cost of oil, parts, and labor for five years or 100,000km, whichever comes first.
The SsangYong Rexton is an incredibly attractive proposition for those who need a roomy, comfortable, stylish, and affordable SUV. So, if you are looking for a good seven-seat family car, head on to one of SsangYong’s six dealerships across the country nearest you and check out the new Rexton.
