What happened in the second leg of 2024 Toyota Gazoo Racing PH Cup

Changing weather made for exciting races

This year’s Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup doesn’t appear to slow down as the action last weekend offered the same wheel-to-wheel, fender-to-fender racing the series is known for.

With this season introducing an all-new format of two sprint races and an endurance race at the end, there was plenty of action to look forward to, especially with the racers getting more comfortable with their vehicles and the track.

This leg brought changing weather conditions, which further added to the challenge for the drivers.

Similar to the first leg, there were other activities to witness if you were present at Clark International Speedway, such as car club members showing off their GR performance models and unleashing them with hot laps, and a driving and drifting exhibition with shotgun rides for lucky audience members.

Wrapping up the events was a live performance by Barbie Almalbis at the events area, which featured stalls from sponsors like Seiko, Rota, Denso, AVT, Toyota Financial Services Philippines, and sim rigs to give people the experience of what it was like to race virtually.
