Although Toyota has been making hybrid cars for decades, the brand released its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) only in 2022 with the bZ4X. And Toyota Motor Philippines will be introducing it locally this December.
The bZ4X is a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru. Powered by a 73.11kWh lithium-ion battery, the BEV has a maximum output of 338.3hp and 338Nm of torque, and a range of up to 570km.
TMP began taking reservations for the Toyota bZ4X on November 7, and the public reception has been positive so far, according to TMP president Masando Hashimoto.
The Japan-sourced EV has a starting price of P2,699,000, and it will be available in four colors: Emotional Red, Precious Metal, Platinum White Pearl Mica, and Dark Blue Mica.
If you want to jump on Toyota’s electric bandwagon, you can reserve the bZ4X through this link. You can also check out the full specs at TMP’s website.
