The all-new Lexus NX has not been officially launched locally, but the order books for the vehicle have been open since December of last year. If you’re still feeling a bit apprehensive and want to check it out in person, you’re in luck as the Lexus Manila now has a couple of units on display in its showroom.

Philippine-spec models will have two hybrids and one F Sport trim level. This will be all under the NX350 version (sad news for those expecting the NX450h PHEV).

The NX350h will come in two guises: Executive and Premier. These have the A25A-FKS 2.5-liter in-line-four engine with a THS-II hybrid system and mated to a CVT. It has a total system output of 239hp, and it can also be driven as an EV over short distances like other Toyota hybrids.

On the entry-level Executive trim (P3,338,000), the differences start with a manual liftgate and 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin is upholstered in Lexus NuLuxe leather and has glossy black accents, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, and a 9.8-inch infotainment screen with a 10-speaker sound system.

For a about million pesos more, the Premier variant  (P4,488,000) is fully loaded with larger 20-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate with a kick sensor, a panoramic moonroof, and an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror.

The interior receives smooth leather upholstery, wood trim, and ambient lighting. It also adds ventilation to the front seats, and the rear seats are power-folding. The rearview mirror is a screen that shows the rear camera’s feed, and the steering column is power-adjustable.

This also gets all the new tech like the massive 14-inch infotainment screen, a wireless charger, a heads-up display, and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.

If you desire sportiness, the NX350 F Sport (P4,548,000) uses the T24A-FTS, a turbocharged 2.4-liter in-line-four engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This setup has an output of 275hp and 430Nm. It also benefits from performance dampers, offering better handling and responsiveness (which would classify the car under the F Sport Handling tier).

Aside from the usual F Sport cosmetics found outside like the 20-inch wheels, and the interior brings over most of the goodies found in the Premier. The only differences are the aluminum trim (in lieu of wood), the manual-folding rear seats, and the 10-speaker sound system.

So, there you have it. Are you excited to see this car in person? You can head over to the Lexus Manila showroom to see if the NX is right for you.
