Looking for a luxury compact crossover to stuff your stocking with this Christmas? Well, you’ll be excited to hear that the all-new Lexus NX will make its way to our shores this coming December, and it’s currently up for preorder if you’re interested in buying one.

For a bit of a refresher, this is the first major overhaul of the NX ever since its introduction back in 2014. It features Lexus’s latest iteration of its design language with new triple-beam LED headlamps, 3D-effect spindle grille, and a new rear fascia with a lightbar and the Lexus name spelled out for a more upscale and muscular look.

The interior also receives big changes focused on the concept of Tazuna (Japanese for “rein”), which is to connect the driver intimately with the car much like how a rein lets you control a horse’s movement. A brand-new infotainment system and the enhanced Lexus Safety System+ are some of the features you can look forward to.

The all-new NX also rides on a modified TNGA-K platform, which makes the car slightly bigger than its predecessor (the wheelbase is lengthened by 30mm). The vehicle was also developed under the Lexus Driving Signature at the Shimoyama test track, giving it a consistent and linear driving feel.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about what engine options will be sold here. But choices include a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter in-line-four (NX250), a turbocharged 2.4-liter in-line-four (NX350), a hybrid (NX350h), and, for the first time, a plug-in hybrid (NX450h+). We can only hope that Lexus will bring in the PHEV variant, but you can realistically expect at least one F Sport model.

Excited to see the all-new NX in the metal? To know more or make a reservation, you can schedule an appointment here.
