In the Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP line, the Kia EV6 has always been seen as the Hyundai Ioniq 5’s sleeker, more stylish twin.
But in recent years, the EV6 has started to look a little outdated compared to the EV5 and the EV9, which feature an updated variant of the automaker’s “Opposites United” design language.
Better late than never, as the Korean brand has given the EV a nip-and-tuck. For now, Kia has revealed two teasers of the front and the back, with an emphasis on the revised lighting signatures.
The front lights have a sharp C-shaped daytime running light section that integrates into the Tiger Nose grille, and the rear light strip is much slimmer, with a new triangle lighting element.
More details will be revealed in the coming months, but if we are to guess, this incoming refresh might follow the Ioniq 5’s recent update, which improves aerodynamics and increases range with a new battery pack.
