If you’ve seen the first few episodes of the local adaptation of the K-drama hit What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? you’ve probably seen some stylish vehicles in it.

In the show’s pilot episode that started streaming last March 18, the Staria, the Palisade, and the sleek Ioniq 6 were featured in various segments. Why is it so, you ask? That’s because Hyundai Motor Philippines is the program’s official mobility partner.

In a press conference last March 9, the Korean carmaker’s local distributor announced a partnership with streaming provider Viu, content provider ABS-CBN Studios, and Dreamscape Entertainment. This makes sense as HMPH previously introduced Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino as two of the brand’s ambassadors.

WWWSK is one of the most-loved K-dramas shown in the Philippines. Viu, ABS-CBN Studios, and Dreamscape Entertainment aim to Filipinize the series as lead stars Chiu and Avelino play the lead characters secretary Kim Mi-so and vice chairman Lee Young-joon.

As more episodes continue to be made available on the streaming service, we can expect to see more Hyundai vehicles make various appearances in the show.

HMPH shared that other models in its lineup—like the Tucson, the Creta, the Custin, the Stargazer, and the recently launched Santa Fe—will also be seen in future episodes. The brand’s other electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, can also be spotted in this series’ local adaptation.

But it’s not just the current HMPH product range that will make cameos in the show. Legacy models like the Accent, the Reina, and the Starex will also be featured.

So, other than reliving the kilig that What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? brings, it will also be a fun activity spotting these Hyundai vehicles in the show.
