The writing is on the wall for the Chevrolet Camaro as the bow-tie brand announced that the final unit would roll off the assembly line in January 2024. Ever since the pony car debuted in 1966, it has become an icon both on the road and on the big screen, appearing in such films as Charlie’s Angels and, more notably, Transformers.
Under the hood of the sixth-generation Camaro is a 2.0-liter in-line-four turbo gasoline engine that makes 275hp and 398Nm, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car rolls on 20-inch wheels, and stopping power is provided by Brembo brakes.
Inside are electronically adjustable sport bucket seats. In addition to the eight-inch digital instrument cluster, there is also a heads-up display to provide additional data to the driver. Meanwhile, the eight-inch MyLink infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
