The Jetour X70 now has a plug-in hybrid version

The Philippine distributor is accepting reservations for P5,000

The Jetour Chinese car brand is nothing short of amazing. Prior to entering our market exactly two years ago, virtually nobody had heard about it (understandable since it was merely established in 2018). From being an entirely unheard-of brand, it has come to be known as one of the most aggressive among the newcomers. Indeed, the distributor (Jetour Auto Philippines) has displayed a genuine knack for spotting models that become hits to Filipino buyers.

One of these is the X70, a midsize crossover SUV powered by a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine in two variations (147hp/210Nm and 156hp/230Nm). Together with the T2, the Dashing, and the Ice Cream EV, the seven-seater X70 has put Jetour on the map of reliable Chinese brands in our market.

And now, JAPI is bringing in a plug-in hybrid version of the vehicle, called X70 Lightning i-DM (Intelligent Dual Motor). This particular model is touted as being able to go a combined range of 1,200km.

JAPI is currently accepting reservations for P5,000. You may do that by signifying your interest via this link.

There are four available colors for the X70 Lightning i-DM: Jade Green, Coral White, Pebble Gray, and Marble Gray.

Our guess is that Jetour will display this car at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show next month. We already know that the T2 Panda Edition will be there. Let’s check out the pair then.
