BMW Philippines’ electric lineup is slowly becoming more diverse.

With cars such as the iX and the i7 rounding up the top end, and with mass-market offerings such as the iX3, it was only a matter of time before we got the two smaller EV siblings: the iX1 and the iX2. These are for those who prefer their crossovers to be a little more petite.

The iX1 is the electric version of the X1. It comes in one trim: the eDrive20 xLine, which costs P3,990,000.

The differences that set it apart are the xLine appearance package, a closed-off grille, satin aluminum exterior trim, and aerodynamic 18-inch wheels. Available colors include Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Space Silver, Phytonic Blue, San Remo Green, and Cape York Green.

Meanwhile, the BMW X2 makes a return to our shores through its electric version, which is available in a single variant: iX2 M Sport eDrive20. This will cost you a cool P4,290,000.

The Sports Activity Coupe comes with the M Sport aesthetics package, the M Shadow Line package, M Sport 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels, and adaptive LED headlights.

It’s available in Brooklyn Gray, Portimao Blue, Alpine White, and Black Sapphire.

The iX1 gets smooth black Veganza leather upholstery, while the iX2 has a mix of M Alcantara and Veganza upholstery. The rest are similar, with the inclusion of aluminum mesh trim and a sport steering wheel.

Cargo capacity of the iX1 ranges from 540L to 1,600L, and the iX2’s is slightly less at 525L to 1,400L. Both come with 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats and a power tailgate for easy access.
