Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines has just announced that the first shipment of Omoda 5 customer units has landed on our shores (not to be confused with the first units to arrive last year as those were used for “pre-launch activities and previews,” which are taking forever). The compact crossover will be available either as a conventional ICE-only car, or an electric vehicle (also known as the E5).

The dealers are scheduled to open between September to November, with the Alabang branch being the flagship. Other locations include Pasig, Manila, Quezon City, Ortigas, Calamba, and Iloilo.

Interested customers can visit mall displays later this month at the following locations to test-drive or preorder the vehicles:

  • SM Aura Premier
  • Ayala Malls Feliz
  • Ayala Malls Circuit Makati
  • Ayala Malls Glorietta
  • Evia Lifestyle Center
  • Alabang Town Center

According to country director Marco Chen, Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines will also bring in models such as the Omoda 3, the Omoda 7, and the Jaecoo 6.

All Omoda and Jaecoo vehicles will come with a seven-year or 200,000km warranty, while the engines get a warranty good for 10 years or 1,000,000km.

How much do the cars cost? We’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out.
