The camouflaged, lifted SUVs of Coco Martin

Made even meaner-looking with Black Rhino wheels

Turns out everyone’s favorite police officer—Ricardo Dalisay aka Coco Martin—is obsessed with badass sport-utility vehicles. Yesterday, he brought two of his mean machines to Wheel Gallery in San Juan to have them fitted with Black Rhino wheels. He told shop managing partner Sam Liuson that he likes SUVs because they feel safe and secure whenever he has to shoot scenes in a remote area where rugged terrain is to be expected. Oh, and he loves the camouflage look, obviously (perhaps to evade the paparazzi).

The first one is a Toyota FJ Cruiser, which the actor had given an extra three-inch lift. Wheel Gallery then installed 17-inch Black Rhino Arsenal wheels wrapped in 35×12.5 Nitto Ridge Grappler rubber. Four pieces of these wheels go for P39,000 (excluding the tires).

The second one is a Call Of Duty-themed Jeep Wrangler, lifted two inches from its stock height. This ride is the recipient of 20-inch Black Rhino Armory wheels shod with 35×12.5 Nitto Trail Grappler tires. A four-piece set of the wheels costs P74,000 (excluding the tires).

Besides these two SUVs, Martin reportedly also has a classic Toyota Land Cruiser (the diesel-powered BJ40). Anyway, now you know who owns these vehicles when you see them on the road. Don’t get starstruck.
