Three years later, the Maserati MC20 is still a sight to behold, and in between the Cielo and the MCXtrema, there will be an exclusive and darker edition (literally speaking) of the well-received Italian sports car. Word on the street is that Maserati Philippines has secured one unit for the country.
The MC20 Notte (meaning “night” in Italian) is a limited-edition run of Maserati’s halo vehicle. It still contains the Nettuno 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, producing 621hp and 730Nm as in the standard model, and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission from Tremec.
The Notte Edition was spearheaded by Maserati’s Fuoriserie Collection, the brand’s personalization program—meaning the changes were in the aesthetic department. The matte-black paint job paired with a gloss-black roof accentuates its nightly aesthetics while retaining the two-tone style of the original.
Contrasting the night theme are several white-golden accents on the 20-inch wheels, the metal trim, and the company’s trident logo. Other notable changes include Alcantara wrapped around its seats, and steering wheel with carbon inserts for extra measure.
The MC20 Notte will only be limited to 50 units, and deliveries will begin to roll out next year. Modena Motorsports, the official distributor of Maserati in the Philippines, has reportedly secured a unit for an unspecified customer.
