BYD Cars Philippines kicked off the 2025 Manila International Auto Show with the launch of the much-awaited eMax 7.

We’ve actually been given a sneak peek into the battery-electric MPV beforehand, and it has indeed made quite a first impression. The six-seater Superior Captain variant comes with captain seats for the second row, powered front seats, a powered tailgate, and a panoramic moonroof atop the cabin.

Also on display is the Standard variant of the eMax 7. You lose a few niceties here and there, but gain extra seating capacity in the second row. Battery capacity also drops from 71.8kWh to 55.4kWh, with the Superior Captain variant’s 201hp being derated to 161hp for the Standard variant. Both trim levels wring out the same torque figure of 310Nm.

The Standard variant comes in at P1,498,000, while the Superior Captain variant is priced at P1,748,000. A promotional discount of P50,000 is available until April 30, 2025. For those looking into purchasing the eMax 7 during MIAS 2025, BYD and BPI have teamed up to offer low down-payment options. The Standard variant is available for an all-in down payment of P48,000, and the Superior Captain for P68,000.

BYD also has a selection of its other offerings displayed on the show floor, such as the Seagull EV, the Sealion 6 DM-i, the Seal 5 DM-i, and the recently launched Shark 6 DMO.
