Jeep Gladiator: Variants, specs, prices and photos

The much-awaited American pickup truck is finally here

Back in February—before all of us were plunged into the abyss of the coronavirus pandemic—we told our readers that Auto Nation Group was introducing the Jeep Gladiator “later in 2020.” Well, that later has arrived: The American pickup truck is here.

And if our Facebook post yesterday is anything to go by, it looks like so many people are interested in this vehicle. So much so that we just had to check out the mechanical behemoth for ourselves this morning. The display unit parked just outside the Jeep showroom on EDSA did not disappoint. This thing definitely looks ready to take on the rough stuff.

Jeep’s monster pickup will be available in two variants. Here is the Gladiator Rubicon:

And here is the Gladiator Sport:

Identical to both variants is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine (285hp and 352Nm) mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. While the Sport is already a capable off-road vehicle in itself, the upmarket Rubicon comes equipped with goodies for more extreme trails, including slightly bigger tires, 4.10 gear ratio for the rear axle, locking differentials, and a Dana M210 wide front axle.

The Jeep Gladiator is priced at P3,890,000 for the Sport and P4,790,000 for the Rubicon. Below are the detailed specs and features of the two variants. Have your checkbook ready.
