The Elantra N will make its debut

Hyundai Motor Philippines is looking to start the year in high gear. After the introduction of its boxy Santa Fe SUV, it’s looking to make one heck of a splash by debuting the performance brand at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show on April 4-7.

If you think that it would be introducing something like the recently launched Ioniq 5 N or any N-Line vehicles, think again. It’s throwing a curveball by introducing the Elantra N compact sedan.

Yes, despite being a dying segment, we’re getting the fire-breathing sports sedan. While there are no official specifications for our market, the Elantra N is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-banger. It spits out a generous 276hp and 392Nm, and it sends that all to the front wheels via either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Handling is also improved thanks to 19-inch forged alloy wheels shod by Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber, reinforced chassis stiffening, and uprated suspension. The car also comes with a more aggressive front and rear fascia that aids with aerodynamics, and a rear spoiler.

The Hyundai booths can be found in World Trade Center, located at D4 in the main hall and in front of the main entrance. Complementary beverages and photos will also be offered, but that’s not all.

Aside from its current lineup of vehicles being available to see and test-drive, some will be fitted with Hyundai Genuine Accessories, and the Elantra N TCR, the winner of the TCR World Tour Drivers’ Championship, will be on display for the public to see.
