Last year, Aston Martin announced its participation in the Hypercar category for the upcoming season of international endurance racing. Needless to say, everyone was drooling over spy photos and videos of testing in Silverstone.

Now, the British racing brand has unveiled its fresh contenders in green and blue, ready to take on the international and North American circuits like a Norse mythical legend.

The Valkyrie AMR-LMH is the first racing prototype based on a road-going vehicle under the Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) regulations. Singing across the racing paddock will be a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine from the production model.

However, the output drops from four figures to a maximum of 670hp for reliability and longevity up to 24 hours of racing. The Valkyrie will compete in two sports-car endurance series under the supervision of The Heart of Racing.

As the only LMH contender in a field of Le Mans Daytona h (LMDh) cars, the North American-based IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will feature Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis driving Car #23.

The World Endurance Championship (WEC) will feature Harry Tincknell and Tom Gamble in Car #007, and Marco Sørensen and Alex Riberas in Car #009. Gunn and De Angelis will also participate exclusively in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Valkyrie AMR-LMH will globally debut on February 28 at the Qatar 1812km, the opening round of the WEC. After skipping the 24 Hours of Daytona, Aston Martin will begin racing in IMSA at the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 15.
