BYD is one of the hottest EV manufacturers today, and it is currently distributed locally by AC Motors with the goal of “democratizing EV ownership in the Philippines,” according to BYD Philippines president Antonio “Toti” Zara.
For the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, the public was given a preview of the Atto 3.
The Atto 3 is a subcompact crossover built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, which is exclusively designed for battery electric vehicles. It measures 4,455mm long, 1,875mm wide, and 1,615mm tall, and it rolls on 18-inch wheels.
The EV is propelled by a 150kW motor that produces 310Nm of torque, and this is powered by BYD’s proprietary Blade Battery technology for a range of up to 480km.
Also, effective this November, BYD models will be adopting the CCS2 charging protocol, and the lineup will have new prices:
-
Dolphin – P1,398,000
-
Han – P3,113,000
-
Tang – P3,321,000
So far, no pricing has been revealed for the Atto 3 as it will be launched next month.
