Mazda C5 Pasig has been around since 2023. It is currently handled by one of Inchcape Philippines’ retail arms, ICATS Asian Motors. Originally, the dealership’s location had been transferred to expand its footprint while updating its facilities.

But after three years, a shift is happening: Starting August 1, Mazda’s local distributor—Mazda Philippines (under Bermaz Auto Philippines)—will take over the Mazda C5 Pasig showroom.

Bermaz Auto Philippines has highlighted its commitment to the Japanese automotive manufacturer, its dealership network, and its clients. Meanwhile, Inchcape Philippines has emphasized that it is currently focusing on opportunities that will benefit its long-standing goals.

“This transition reflects a shared commitment to ensuring continuity for customers, partners, and employees while supporting the ongoing success of the Mazda brand in the Philippines,” said Inchcape managing director for South Asia and Pacific Alex Hammett. “For Inchcape, it is also consistent with our disciplined approach to portfolio management, allowing us to focus our resources on opportunities that best align with our long-term strategic priorities.”

“We appreciate the partnership with Inchcape Philippines in supporting this transition, and we are committed to ensuring continuity for customers, partners, and employees,” shared Mazda Philippines president and CEO Steven Tan. “We look forward to continuing to build on Mazda’s presence in the market, and supporting the brand’s development in the Philippines.”

Although ownership will change, the two companies reassure their clients, stakeholders, and personnel that the transition will be seamless through their close collaboration.
