When British firm Inchcape landed in the Philippines last year, it took over the distributorship rights of various mainstream and luxury brands, as well as the dealerships of certain marques. The company is keen on further expansion, and it has just made some major leadership changes to achieve that goal.

Last August 9, Alex Hammett stepped down as head of Inchcape Philippines. He will still be based in the country as Inchcape’s managing director for select markets in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Additionally, chief operating officer Frankie Ang will be relinquishing his role at the end of the year. He held management posts at CATS Group for 12 years prior to the merger. He will remain as a board member of Inchcape Philippines while pursuing other business interests.

Taking the helm as country manager is Alex Yap. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry and has held key positions at Inchcape’s subsidiaries in Singapore, Guam, and Saipan. He will now be in charge of growing Inchcape Philippines’ distribution, retail, and after-sales operations with its range of brands under its umbrella.
