Last Friday, October 11, the Toll Regulatory Board announced its decision to allow NLEX Corporation to collect higher toll fees for those who use the NLEX-SLEX Connector Road (NSCR).

And so, the regulatory body has issued the Notice to Start Collection, allowing the toll operator to collect the following adjusted fees for the use of the NSCR starting tomorrow, October 15:

  • Class 1P119 (from P86)
  • Class 2P299 (from P215)
  • Class 3P418 (from P302)

NLEX has been collecting the current toll fees after the 5.1km-long C3-to-España section of the connector road was opened in 2023. The toll operator later opened the 1.84km-long España-to-R. Magsaysay section almost a year ago, serving around 14,500 motorists daily.

After letting motorists use the newly opened section virtually for free in the last 12 months, NLEX Corporation has requested an adjustment of base toll fees for the NSCR.

The TRB shared that it had approved the toll fee adjustment after the toll road operator had met all regulatory requirements. NLEX hinted at another toll fee adjustment as full rates will be implemented once the NSCR is completed.

So, do not be surprised to see higher deductions on your RFID account, and make sure you load up if you use this toll road regularly.
